Digital Content Coordinator

The successful candidate needs to have at least 1 year professional work experience in a media related field and a strong working knowledge of social media, videography, graphic design, and photography. Candidate must have the ability to work well with all departments and maintain a positive attitude in an often hectic work environment. The position requires a self-motivated, hard worker who understands that sometimes work must be done outside of normal business hours. The position includes the coordination of content from our radio station websites to the public, assisting in our social networking campaigns, production of short video segments, gathering measurement data, and helping to maintain quality among our 9+ web properties.

Required Skills

  • Social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, & Instagram
  • Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere, Dreamweaver, Flash, Illustrator)
  • Ability to shoot video/ photos in various lighting situations and process media quickly.
  • Team player with collaboration skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Willingness to go above and beyond to get the job done
  • Proven success across marketing, strategy, integrated sales and business/revenue growth.
Required Experience
  • Highly Organized & Self Motivated
  • 1+ years in website content development and creation of interactive content.
  • 1+ years in site management.
  • Ability to evaluate designs and content to ensure that is visually appealing, meets brand guidelines, and exhibits all of the 'best practices' for presenting web content to a general or specifically-targeted audience.
  • Experience managing a content-oriented website.
  • Knowledge of web standards, browser compatibility issues, and accessibility issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Passion for internet, pop culture, & social media.
  • General knowledge of various backend website admin tools 
  • Basic image editing skills
  • Very sharp attention to detail
  • Speed - able to work quickly and error free

 

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Stickyfish platform
  • Hands on skills with HTML, CSS, Photoshop, FTP, Microsoft Project, and be familiar with Content Management Systems
  • Excellent knowledge of Windows OS & Mac OS
  • Knowledge of HTML CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery

Board Op for Barons games on WERC

News Radio 105.5 WERC Birmingham is looking for our next winning Part Time team player!

Newsradio 105.5 WERC now has an opening for a part time team player to produce local Baron’s Baseball plus possible additional duties for local show production as well. Duties will include board-op/run network broadcasts, and assist in other production duties if needed.

Required Skills:

Candidate must be extremely focused, energetic, and love Birmingham Barons Baseball. Must be a multi-tasker with duties and responsibilities including but not limited to:

•Producing LIVE play by play for the Barons
•Editing audio immediately during LIVE play by play events
•Experience with Adobe Audition and NexGen Preferred
•Commercial production
•Familiar with ISDN/Comrex/Tie-line
•Must be willing to work nights and weekends including holidays

Candidate will also be producing the pregame and postgame as well as the actual play by play of an event. Candidate will be working closely with the Birmingham Barons.

Requirements:
•    2+ years prior experience in successful sales role.

•    Professional appearance and strong interpersonal skills.
•    Ability to design, deliver and execute marketing strategies and presentations.
•    Prior demonstrated prospecting experience through cold calling, networking and meeting functions.
